Cry Out!
Bible Reading Today: Matthew 19, Mark 10
Mark 10:48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
A blind man was so desperate to be healed by Jesus, that he boldly cried out to Him. When people thought he was making a scene, they tried to stop him, but he cried out even louder for mercy. They told him to hold his peace...but clearly, he didn't have any peace to hold! He was so tired of living the way he was living. His blindness caused him so much unrest, that he didn't care what it looked like to others, he was determined to receive his miracle! And you know what? Jesus did not send him away! Jesus stopped everything. He stood still. He called the blind man to Him...and He healed him! Turns out, Jesus wants our scene! Our mess! Our chaos! If we wait until we are "put together" to make our way to Jesus, then we missed the opportunity for a miracle! We don't have the ability to heal ourselves anyway! So cry out. Let it all out. Make your way to an altar. Don't miss that moment between you & Jesus that will cause you to have peace again! Bring on the tears, fears, sadness, doubts, depression, confusion...Jesus will take it all. It doesn't matter what it looks like! Life is messy. Jesus understands! When we cry out to Jesus, we become a far cry from what we once were!
