Darkness to Delight
Based on Psalms 37-39, Acts 26
"Delight thyself also in the LORD; And he shall give thee the desires of thine heart."
Psalm 37:4
When we are void of God in our lives, and we go about our days solely concerned with achieving & receiving our desires, we don't realize it...but we are in a place of darkness! The Scripture says that when we delight in The Lord, He will give us the desires of thine heart...so when we don't delight in The Lord, we have a much harder time finding what we are looking for (kind of like searching in the dark), because we are not seeking God first & desiring Him above all else! We need to step into The Light of delighting in The Lord!
"But the meek shall inherit the earth; And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace." Psalm 37:11
The meek will delight themselves in the abundance of peace...so again, if we are prideful & self-seeking, we will not be living the peaceful life we could be living with Jesus at the center! We will be in the dark, confused, and not finding the rest we truly desire...we will be lost without deLIGHT in The Lord!
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: And he delighteth in his way."
Psalm 37:23
Jesus deLIGHTETH in the way of those whose steps are ordered of Him! He lights our path, and He delights in seeing us follow after the ways of life & not death! Of light and not darkness!
"delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me." Acts 26:17-18
We need to do as Paul did, speaking the Truth, seeing blind eyes open, people turning from darkness to light! And when we decide to live in the light, as He is in the light (1 John 1:7), we live in DELIGHT knowing Jesus & knowing His plan for our lives!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
