Deep Roots
Based on Psalms 94-96, Romans 15:14-33
God's creation is so magnificent! Even just one pocket of the earth has so much depth, history & life to discover! One could most definitely get lost in the wildernesses of jungles and other places that exist...but what about the jungle of the mind? It can be a deep, dark place sometimes, with a lot of wandering and not a lot of direction...so instead of getting lost in the depths of the mind, we need to have deep roots in God & His Word!
"In the multitude of my thoughts within me Thy comforts delight my soul." Psalm 94:19
The comforts of Jesus, especially through the comfort of the His Holy Ghost, will delight us...no matter how many multitudes of thoughts are within us! When we turn to Him instead of running further into the abyss of our own mind, we find peace!
"In his hand are the deep places of the earth: The strength of the hills is his also. The sea is his, and he made it: And his hands formed the dry land." Psalm 95:4-5
All these deep places are familiar to God! He created them! He can rescue us if we get lost in them...and again, that goes for the mind, too! He can rescue us from hurtful & traumatic thoughts, fears & worries. He can put our mind at ease when we are deeply rooted in Him instead of deep down in a ditch of depression & darkness!
"Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: All thy waves and thy billows are gone over me." Psalm 42:7
If the world & our thoughts are gone over us, we lose...but if Jesus overwhelms our soul, we are filled with peace! Let's let our depths be in God, not in the jungle of our mind!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
