Deliverance is Here

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Micah 4-5, Proverbs 13

We can search the world for answers, but it's amazing how God has planted exactly what we need in the depths of His Word! Deliverance is right here in the Scriptures. It's found in our God, Jesus Christ! God has always come through for His people, even when they also deserved great judgment. Jesus is The Word made flesh, and in heeding to His Word, we will be truly delivered from the dangers of this life! We need to search The Word, not the world!

"But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it. And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem." Micah 4:1‭-‬2.

We seem to be living in the last days now...many things are happening which point us to One alone-Jesus! We have found out how shakable this world is...how unsteady people are without a solid foundation in the Truth...we have read of the unfortunate situations that have taken place in Israel for their rejection of God in the previous chapters of Micah, but God now gives this glimmer of hope...and this hope is not just to the Israelites, but this hope of deliverance is for all! It says "the law shall go forth"! It's not just going to stay in one place, for one nation. It will go to all people!

"Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies." Micah 4:10.

A labor & delivery is a painful process, but it brings forth life! Deliverance comes when we press through the process of dying out to our sinful life and accepting new life in return. As mentioned about the Acts 2:38 salvation process in recent posts, that is the new birth we must go through to enter into a new life with Jesus..."there shalt thou be delivered"! Away from sin, evil, danger, all of the things which keep us from God!

"But thou, Beth–lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."
Micah 5:2.

This seems like a Messianic prophecy about Jesus, found right here in the Old Testament: "whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting"! Deliverance is HERE! Emmanuel! GOD WITH US! Again, He is the Word made flesh...His Word has always been with us, and He dwelt among us when He came into the world...now we can embrace deliverance through Him, as prophesied so long ago! God always brings deliverance through Himself, through His Word, when we receive His Spirit! Again, it's not in the world...it's in His Word!

"Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded."
Proverbs 13:13.

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
