Delivered
Bible Reading Today: Genesis 32-34
Genesis 32:11 Deliver me, I pray thee, from the hand of my brother, from the hand of Esau: for I fear him, lest he will come and smite me, and the mother with the children.
We all have difficult situations we'd like to escape...things we've been carrying for so long, or just little things here & there which allow stress to build up over time. We can attach ourselves to these things, or we can firmly grip God's Word & all the love he has for us! It's easy to become a problem-driven people. Complaining. Gossiping. Drama-craving...because sometimes it's easier to give into the strife & stress than it is to overcome it! But that's only if we are trying to overcome it in our own power...when Jacob tried to solve problems without depending fully on God, more stress was brought upon him! But when he prayed & sought The Lord, like in this passage asking for deliverance, he did in fact end up being delivered & welcomed by his brother Esau, with nothing to stress over! We CAN be delivered, no matter what the case may be...we just have to depend fully on God!
