Deviation, or Desperation?

Based on Jeremiah 3-5, I Timothy 4

"Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad places thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it." Jeremiah 5:1

How common is it today for people to dismiss God? To be indifferent about Truth? God told Jeremiah he'd have to run around to & fro to see if there was anyone who was desperate for Truth. That's kind of how it is today too! Many people are comfortable deviating from Truth, and creating their own version of it. But no matter what we WANT to believe, there's only one TRUTH which fulfills & satisfies our soul! That's God's Word!

"For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained." 1 Timothy 4:4‭-‬6

Anyone is able to become part of the Body of believers! The Body of Christ is open to all-the door is wide open! God doesn't make it difficult, but we complicate things when we want God, but we don't want Truth...God's Word has the final say! Anyone can be His child, and there's a special birthing process to make that happen which changes and transforms our lifestyles! When we repent, get baptized & receive the Holy Ghost, we become those people Jeremiah was running around looking for in the Old Testament! Those who are desperate, willing to do what it takes, rather than those who deviated, not caring enough about their God, or their eternity...

"Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

It doesn't matter how young, or how old! When God sees a willing desperation, He will use it! As an example to others, we can't deviate from the faith-because who knows how many others we are leading astray! People see. People follow...are we leading them closer to Jesus?

"Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee." 1 Timothy 4:16

Continue & endure! Keep pushing forward on your walk with God! Don't leave, don't give up, don't deviate!! It doesn't always sound good to be desperate...but it's much worse to deviate! When we allow ourselves to be desperate & vulnerable in the Hands of God, beautiful things can happen in our lives. But when we deviate & place ourselves in the hands of this world, then there's no telling what will become of us...nothing & no one is more secure than Jesus!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
