Diligent Heed

Gina Pietrzak

Bible Reading Today: Joshua 22-24

Joshua 22:5 But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

This world will do all it can to get us off God's path, to distract us from God's perfect will for our lives. It's a good life living for The Lord, but it's not always easy. This is a fact we must face. If we truly want to keep a close connection to God & obey what His Word commands us, it will require diligent heed! We can't accidentally be Christians. We can't have an indifferent outlook on the commandments! In a way, we have to be hard on ourselves if we want to follow God's Word correctly! I don't mean to beat ourselves up or do anything unnecessary-but I do mean to have a deeper sense of consistency & commitment! Think about it-diligent heed is required from us all the time-our family, our jobs, our exercise, upkeep of our homes, etc...so how is it possible to passively keep The Word of God, as if it is not much more than an inspirational story? God's Word is alive because HE IS THE WORD! HIS WORD IS TRUTH! He is active right now, so let's activate our faith everyday! Let's take diligent heed in all we do-especially in seeking The Lord! Come join the adventure!

"But without faith it is impossible to please him : for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."

Hebrews 11:6

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
