Divine Direction
Based on Numbers 9-10, Psalm 32
The hardest part about life is living it. Every day is filled with decisions, and even the smallest ones can change the course of our day. That's why we must go prayerfully into each day & each decision and seek out God's divine direction! If we have a desire for divine direction, our decisions will be blessed!
"Let the children of Israel also keep the passover at his appointed season."
Numbers 9:2.
This was one direction given by God. All were to follow it, but normally, if one was defiled and unclean from a dead body, he or she was not able to keep the passover. But in their desire for divine direction, God allowed for them to keep it:
"Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If any man of you or of your posterity shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the Lord."
Numbers 9:10
They desired to honor God & do what they were called to do, so God honored that request! But some people who were "clean" did not have clean hearts toward God. Some just didn't want divine direction:
"But the man that is clean, and is not in a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, even the same soul shall be cut off from among his people: because he brought not the offering of the Lord in his appointed season, that man shall bear his sin."
Numbers 9:13.
They had no reason NOT to follow God & walk in His ways! Kind of like today-we tend to come up with a lot of excuses why certain things are too hard. We sometimes refuse the true & perfect will of God, and it's not because we are incapable, but because of a lack of true desire. Desire God's divine direction, and watch where you'll go!
God literally gave His people so much obvious guidance. They just had to look & listen! There was of course His Word, but also a cloud & fire!
"And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, namely, the tent of the testimony: and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until the morning. So it was alway: the cloud covered it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. And when the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle, then after that the children of Israel journeyed: and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel pitched their tents."
Numbers 9:15-17.
A cloud by day, and fire by night! If the cloud moved, they moved. If it stood still, they stayed in their place. So many people read through the chapters of the Bible & see an ongoing list of controlling rules...but I have a different approach! How about we look at it as a safety net? Face it. We have more questions than answers in life. We can't do it on our own. God's divine direction is the map & handbook we need! It's a helper, not a hindrance!!
Continuing on in Chapter 10, we see different trumpets blown at different times representing different signals for when to gather together. More simple ways to have direction & answers in life!
"Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye."
Psalms 32:7-8.
God sees what we are doing, even when we don't seek His divine direction. He let's us live our lives, but He wants so much to be a part of it! He created us. He has the answers. We can avoid so much stress & heartache if we just trust in Him & desire His divine direction!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
