Do you hear what I hear?
Based on Amos 7-9, Revelation 8
"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:" Amos 8:11
"Do you hear what I hear?" is a song we all hear around this time of year...we usually don't hear it until Christmastime...sadly, many people also don't hear much about Jesus until this special time of year. There is a true famine going on, and some people don't understand that the only way to fill that void is with Jesus! We have many things...we give & receive many things...but how about the precious Word of God? That's definitely worth sharing! Are we willing to listen to the preached Word at church? Are we willing to have some quiet time to reflect on Him?
"In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:" Amos 9:11
We can build ourselves firmly upon His Word! Jesus will raise up our ruins! But will we hear Him? Will we receive Him? Will we obey Him? Will we love Him?
"And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God." Amos 9:15
If we are planted in The Word of God, willing to listen & learn, then we can't be stolen away! God won't let that happen! He will protect us with the love, stability & structure of His eternal Word!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
