Don't let it get to you!
Reading of the Day 7/18/25: Psalms 117-119
Psalm 119:165: Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
This phrase, "Don't let it get to you" is of course much easier said than done...it's like saying, "Walk it off!" when someone gets hurt...we know deep down it just doesn't ease the pain. But what if I told you there WAS a way...a way that we could have peace even in the craziest of circumstances...and that Way is Jesus! This Scripture says, "Great peace have they which love thy law:" and we know Jesus is The Word made flesh! John 1:14: "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." The Law come to Life is Jesus. We can have peace having a relationship with Him through His Word! There are always Scriptures I'm reminded of as I go throughout my day, depending on what I'm going through. His Truth also floods us as we praise Him through worship songs! Now off course, we are human, and we do get upset. Even God has His times when He is upset with His people. But the key is in how we show it, and His Word gives us the peace to express ourselves in a way that does not offend others, even if they try to offend us. Sometimes, though, there will be nothing we can do. Others will take something we say in love and still find fault. But again, that's when we return to our peace. Our refuge. Our place in The Word where we stay rooted, grounded, re-focused, refreshed, and we keep on going. In this way, we truly follow after peace, and nothing will offend us! We won't let it get to us! We are free from the chains of emotional bondage and damage connected to a situation! No other medicine or "old wise saying" says it better than God's Word!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
