Don't Revoke the Rescue!

Based on Ezekiel 16-17, James 3

"And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live." Ezekiel 16:6

Jesus saw us in the worst of the worst situations...He has seen our blood, and wants to cover us with His...but how quick are we to revoke our rescue? To release our chance at restoration? How quick are we to call & complain to a friend instead of calling on the Name of Jesus & pleading His Blood upon our lives? I know we've all done these types of things, for some reason avoiding our Source of Life. The One Who said "Live" in the first place wants us to live again, fresh & new! Repentance, baptism in Jesus' Name & receiving His Spirit will let us keep on living a revived life! Let's not push Him away! Let's not revoke our rescue!

"and tookest thy broidered garments, and coveredst them: and thou hast set mine oil and mine incense before them. My meat also which I gave thee, fine flour, and oil, and honey, wherewith I fed thee, thou hast even set it before them for a sweet savour: and thus it was, saith the Lord GOD." Ezekiel 16:18‭-‬19

Have we pushed away blessings because we push God away at times? Have a rejected what He has presented to us in order to settle for less? That's what is explained above...Jerusalem was created by God, as we all are. They were meant to be taken care of by Him, as we all are. And they revoked the rescue from evil & danger. They abused their godly gifts & defiled them. Where have we left our relationship with God? What state is it in?

"Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also take of the highest branch of the high cedar, and will set it; I will crop off from the top of his young twigs a tender one, and will plant it upon an high mountain and eminent: in the mountain of the height of Israel will I plant it: and it shall bring forth boughs, and bear fruit, and be a goodly cedar: and under it shall dwell all fowl of every wing; in the shadow of the branches thereof shall they dwell." Ezekiel 17:22‭-‬23

Again, as God always does, He re-plants, re-grounds & re-roots the ones who want to turn back to Him. When we make that new birth commitment, God comes in once again to rescue us...this time with the promise of not only a better, more holy life here on earth...but a better one in eternity!

"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."

James 3:17

Let's reject partiality & hypocrisy! Let's put aside the things which separate us from God & allow us to revoke our rescue! Let's go with God all the way to eternity!
