Don't Turn Back!

Bible Reading Today: Psalm 119:89-176

The wicked have laid a snare for me: Yet I erred not from thy precepts. Psalm 119:110

This Psalm is full of reassurance that God's Word is true. He never fails or forsakes us, even in our worst time of suffering...even when everyone seems to be against us...as is spoken through this verse, even when the wicked are setting traps for us, yet will we not turn away! What a declaration! We should strive to say the same! Even if things get crazy, Lord I'm still going to trust in You! I'm not going to blame You! As was mentioned in a previous post, what makes us stop trusting? Is it our suffering? Why do we attribute the fault of an imperfect world to our perfect God? As our Pastor has recently preached, we go through sensical suffering...things we will endure on our walk with God...but honestly, we can still find joy in these times, because our God, Jesus Christ, went through it too, and so much worse than us...we have such greater things to look forward to than the best & worst this world can throw at us! Jesus is King forever, and one day, we will spend forever with Him...so don't turn back!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
