Doubtless
Based on Numbers 12-14, Mark 5:21-43
"Doubtless ye shall not come into the land, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun." Numbers 14:30.
Only Caleb, Joshua and the younger generation were able to enter the promised land. Doubtless, for certain, the older generation would not be able to...and it all stemmed from being doubtful! God was doubtless about keeping them from the promised land because the people were so doubtful that God would follow through and help them prevail! Every step of their way, they spoke against God...the One who did so many miracles, like parting the Red Sea for instance! Every step forward, they wanted to turn back. Back to Egypt. Ultimately, back to the comfort of their sin as well...so doubtless, their doubt held them back!
We've all been there. When we forget the miraculous power of God, we doubt everything. We complain about everything. We rely more on what we can see around us than the fact that God can CHANGE everything around us, if only we would pray!
"And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying. And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise." Mark 5:39-41.
Everyone laughed in Jesus' face when He spoke life and not death. When He spoke positivity instead of negativity. The people were perfectly content giving up on this girl...but not Jesus! He said unto her, arise! And she surely does!
God will doubtless give us the negative report if we speak it and give up. He chose to show His glory & power in this instance amidst their unbelief, but maybe the girl wouldn't have been so close to death in the first place if it wasn't for their doubt & unbelief?
But what would happen if WE were doubtless? If WE were so sure of God's power and ability to do the miraculous in OUR situations? Ask. Seek. Knock. Pray. God never turns away!!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
