DRAMA VS. TRAUMA
"(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)" 2 Corinthians 6:2.
A few days ago, there was a stabbing at the high school I went to in the town I grew up in (many of you are aware, but just in case you did not get the details, it happened at East Leyden High School in Franklin Park). It honestly emotionally stabbed me to hear this. I could NEVER imagine this happening in my school or town...
That is why, as the Scripture states, NOW is the acceptable time to act, and the best thing we can do is pray and introduce our children to the power & protection of God! We must act NOW when the "NEVER in my wildest dreams" takes place...
When I was a teenager, I remember dealing with drama...who will "stab me in the back" by spreading rumors? Now, teens are dealing with trauma...who will LITERALLY stab me in the back at school today??
It's shocking, but Scripture warns us of this and prepares us for how to deal with it:
"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come." 2 Timothy 3:1.
"Pray without ceasing."
1 Thessalonians 5:17.
Continue to pray for your children. Continue to pray for those affected by the stabbing & the Franklin Park community. This world is a dangerous, perilous place. God is our only hope and solution!
Lord, I plead your Name & Blood upon our children, our schools, and especially East Leyden High School & the Franklin Park community. I pray for a quickened healing for the victim & justice to be served. Keep your hedge of protection around our families and bring them closer to you in a quickened fashion...Have a safe and blessed day IN JESUS' NAME!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
