Dry Times
Based on Numbers 17-19, Mark 6:30-56
"And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods. And Moses laid up the rods before the Lord in the tabernacle of witness. And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds." Numbers 17:6-8.
How could a rod bud & blossom inside the tabernacle of witness, and not out in its natural environment? Wouldn't be too dry & too desolate? No way! The rods were in the presence of the supernatural environment! In the presence of the One who created the environment! Of course it would happen, according to God's Will of course-and it was His Will that one should bud, and that was Aaron's! All of them could have by the power of God, but one was enough to show the Israelites that the murmuring, worrying & complaining should cease...God can bring new life to dry, worn-out places in our lives!
"And when the day was now far spent, his disciples came unto him, and said, This is a desert place, and now the time is far passed: Send them away, that they may go into the country round about, and into the villages, and buy themselves bread: for they have nothing to eat. He answered and said unto them, Give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, Shall we go and buy two hundred pennyworth of bread, and give them to eat?" Mark 6:35-37.
No way! Just like the branch didn't need the natural environment to bud & blossom, the people didn't need the provision & sustenance of bread from the other people in the marketplace! They needed to linger a little longer with the supernatural Bread of Life, Jesus Christ! After Jesus taught them spiritually, He provided for them physically. He gives us all we need to get through our desert times!!
You'll make it through this dry season, if that's how you're feeling right now. With God, you'll not only make it, you'll thrive! You'll blossom! You'll grow by feeding off of the Bread of Life!!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
