Bible Reading Today: Job 1-5
Job 1:21 And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.
We enter & leave this life with no possessions. It's what happens in between that makes all the difference! The Lord gives. The Lord takes away...but blessed be His Name, and everything we receive is a blessing as well! Even the things we lose bless us in the beauty of letting go. The new year cannot be only about acquirement, but requirement...what am I required to give? What am I holding onto that may be causing other blessings to be held off? Even if we have no earthly possession to our name, in the Name of The Lord Jesus, we can have Spiritual possessions which we CAN take with us! Peace. Joy. Contentment. The comfort of the Holy Ghost. Salvation. Job ALMOST lost everything, but he did not lose hope in God! Either way, no matter what comes our way, we can find joy in our process when we prioritize Jesus!
