Empty to Enough

Based on Psalms 113-115, 1 Corinthians 6

"He maketh the barren woman to keep house, And to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD."

Psalm 113:9

How can this be true? Many women are unable to have children and stay that way...Well, I think if we look deeper into this Scripture, we can see that this could mean so much more than physical children! A Mother has a motherly instinct, whether she has children or not. There is a caring, loving & tender attribute that's waiting to manifest itself in some way, for some purpose...it could mean adoption, and it very well could mean Spiritual children, meaning people you bring with you to the house of God who (along with us), repent, get baptized & get the Holy Ghost...it could mean caring for your church family...your community...or just pouring your heart into your home & your life as best you can, taking joy in it all & doing it to glorify God! He has a way of helping mothers, and all people, go from empty to enough, even it that doesn't mean bearing natural children...but just remember, prayer is the key to finding out what "enough" God has in store for you! A miracle is right around the corner!

"The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the LORD, both small and great. The LORD shall increase you more and more, You and your children. Ye are blessed of the LORD Which made heaven and earth."

Psalm 115:12‭-‬15

We have to claim and remember what God has promised us! WE ARE ALL BLESSED OF THE LORD! If we are still standing today, then we are blessed...because it's been a rough couple of years for all of us! And also...He WILL bless! He never leaves us empty or barren. He gives us just enough! Sometimes, we need less than we thought, and sometimes, God gives us more than we thought! But we can never say it's not enough! It may also look different than we thought (again, what type of "child" he or she will be...adopted, natural, a loving commitment to our church family, etc.). But when we remember that God is worthy of all our hearts, then we can gladly pour ourselves into whoever or whatever task we are blessed to have as "mothers"!

"For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." 1 Corinthians 6:20

We are to glorify God in all we do! In the end, it's all for Him, He is our enough, and He never leaves us empty! Seek the deeper meaning behind the barrenness, if that's the season you're experiencing. God will use that instinct in some way! God always has somewhere for us to pour our hearts, and when we pour, He restores!
