Enemy, or Friend of Me?
Based on Psalm 119:89-176, 1 Corinthians
"Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; Yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; Because they kept not thy word. Consider how I love thy precepts: Quicken me, O LORD, according to thy lovingkindness." Psalm 119:157-159
No matter the persecutors, or the transgressors, or anybody that may try to convince us against our faith, we cannot let go of Truth! We have something so much greater, something which exceeds time into eternity-as it has been so well put-"His Word is TIMELESS!" So we can't trip up because of temporary strife & struggles...the Psalmist even mentions here that he is grieved not because of the attacks of the enemy, but because they don't follow the Truth! That takes a lot of faith! God's Word never changes, so we can have the same faith in His Word today, and we can pray that those who do not believe get ahold of God's Word!
"Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. But if any man love God, the same is known of him."
1 Corinthians 8:1-3
We could have "knowledge competitions" all day. We could compete with those who speak against us & try to "one up" them...but in the end, it's about knowing God & being known of Him! That's when we are satisfied, not in winning a "know it all" battle...but that doesn't mean being on The Lord's side won't bring us victories! We just have to think, what is the victory for? For our own pride? Or to be a message for the doubtful onlookers to fully believe? Think of the battle of Jericho with Joshua! An enemy, Rahab, believed in the power of God & she and her household were saved from the overtaking of the city! Rahab became part of God's people! The victory wasn't just for Israel to gain more points against the enemy, but to gain more believers! Rahab was an enemy, but she knew the things God could do & switched sides! We have to believe that there will be a lot of people coming to stand on The Lord's side today if we have genuine hearts & send them the right message!
"But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;" Matthew 5:44

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
