Even in the Wilderness
Bible Reading Today: Nehemiah 8-10
Nehemiah 9:21 Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.
We don't have to have it all figured out to figure out that we need a close relationship with God...in fact, it's usually in the times of unknowns & uncertainties that we grow closest to God! Nehemiah 9 encourages God's people to remember & reflect on their time spent in the wilderness. Not about how hard it was. Not about travelling from one strange land to the next. Not about how it was difficult to feel settled because they never knew when God would call them to journey onward. None of these were the point of the wilderness...the point was, God provided, even then. Even in the "randomness" of it all. Even when the answer was usually "I don't know what tomorrow will bring." Even in the wilderness, we lack nothing! Even in the randomness of our lives, when we feel like we would have nothing to offer if we gave our lives to The Lord, He offers us a plentiful life of safety and provision! We just have to trust and agree with His Word, and live according to it...even in the wilderness!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
