Ever-Present Presence
Based on 1 Chronicles 1-3, John 5:25-47
"For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?" John 5:46-47
The beauty of the Bible is that Jesus is woven throughout it, since the beginning of time! He is God, and He is His Word, so everything in the Word points to Him, either directly or indirectly. His presence is ever-present! Even though the people of the Old Testament only had Moses' writings, they were written by divine inspiration from God Himself, Jesus Christ! So, if the people did not believe Moses, they would not believe Jesus. Here is one Scripture where Moses wrote of Jesus:
"The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;" Deuteronomy 18:15
He will raise up a Prophet (capital P!) from the midst of thee, of thy brethren! There are lists of lineage found in the books of Chronicles, and as we travel through these lists, we get closer & closer to seeing how Jesus was woven in, all the way back to Moses! Again, His presence is ever-present! We have an undeniable GOD!
"...and Boaz begat Obed, and Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat his firstborn Eliab, and Abinadab the second, and Shimma the third, Nethaneel the fourth, Raddai the fifth, Ozem the sixth, David the seventh:" 1 Chronicles 2:12-15
There were so many important names & people to highlight, but emphasizing the lineage of David emphasizes the lineage of the Kingship of Christ! Some way or another, everyone traces back to Biblical roots, but highlighting the fact that Jesus was also woven into the royal line of David shows how God's plan is so perfect & intricate! He reigns over all! His presence is ever-present! And when we open our hearts to Him, He is alive in our lives too!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle

It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
