Faith in Waves
Bible Reading 10/15: Matthew 14, Mark 6, Luke 9:1-17
Matthew 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Most of us have a positive perspective, hope, and faith...but sometimes, it depends on the situation. Sometimes those things are contingent on the level of difficulty...the less afraid or desperate we are, the more we trust...but that shouldn't be the case! In those scary, desperate situations, we should impulsively be inclined to trust & have faith even more! That's because, most of the time, those things are out of our control anyways-they are in control of God! So, we should not have faith in waves (the things we see around us), and we should not have faith that comes in waves (in sporadic moments of time). We should instead have a steady faith in God, no matter how choppy the waters are beneath our lifeboat! God will cause us to cruise on the waters, but only if we don't stop & get distracted by the winds around us! Get in the flow of faith, and don't sink beneath the waves!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
