Fixed Faith

Bible Reading Today: Luke 16-17:10

Luke 17:6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Right after Jesus talked to His disciples about having a constant heart of forgiveness, the disicples asked Jesus to increase their faith. It was hard for them to hear that every time someone repents, they should forgive, even seven times in a day! However, although this seemed too hard, we must remember that hard hearts don't have fixed faith! Fixed faith accomplishes the hard things in life. When the disciples asked for an increase of faith, Jesus responded with the Scripture above-because it's not about the amount of faith! A mustard seed will do...all that matters is Who our faith is in...and our faith must be fixed on Jesus! We don't need to have a certain level of faith for one thing and unlock another level of faith for the next thing...we just always need a fixed faith in Jesus! Now of course, we could always strive for more than a mustard seed...because just as God is limitless, our faith can be limitless too! The smallest faith and the greatest faith moves God to do the miraculous in different ways! Fixed faith moves mountains. Fixed faith takes a tree to the sea. Things in our life shift around and change for the better...because even a mustard seed in the Hands of Jesus is more powerful than any tool or weapon we can use! A fixed, unwavering faith can change the world!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
