For Our Children
Based on Psalms 72-73, Romans 9:1-15
"Give the king thy judgments, O God, And thy righteousness unto the king's son. He shall judge thy people with righteousness, And thy poor with judgment." Psalm 72:1-2
This Psalm is a prayer from David for his son, Solomon, for when Solomon takes David's place as king. David knows his son has a great calling upon his life, and rather than hope for the best, David PRAYS for the best! Wishing & hoping is one thing, but prayer is quite another! Prayer is the unseen strength & support which will bolster our children and give them exactly what they need, directly from God! Nothing is more powerful. Nothing is stronger. Nothing means more than that! Never doubt the power of prayer!
"Whom have I in heaven but thee? And there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: But God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Psalm 73:25-26
Who else can? Who else will? What else even stands a chance? Our direct connection to God as parents is our lifeline, and it will certainly help impact the lives of our children. Will it control their every move? Probably not. God has His own set of lessons for them to learn too, in which they'll need to develop their own prayer lives...but our prayers, and praying with them, will no doubt keep them constantly God-conscious, and so much closer to their God-given purpose & that next miracle! We just need to keep up the fight! THEY WILL BE SAVED IN JESUS' NAME!
"(for the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)" Romans 9:11
We are not born perfect, but we are already born with purpose! Before we even make the choice to repent, get baptized & receive the Holy Ghost, which are essential to salvation, God has a purpose & plan designed especially for us! In order to fulfill it completely, we must go through that process and purpose ourselves to live for Him! The best we can do for our families is strive to see our prayer requests become victory reports for our children in Jesus' Name!

The Heart of the Struggle
