Forward, or Backward?
Based on Isaiah 5-6, Ephesians 1
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20
Isaiah is lamenting to Israel of the backwards way they were living...how they'd turned back from following God, and turned toward the ways of the world. Isaiah's words speak to us today as well! There are many who call evil good, enjoy darkness instead of light, and take bitterness instead of sweetness! Let's be sure our hearts are turned in the right direction, going forward with God, making progress toward our Heavenly home...not backwards toward the temporary pleasures of this life!
"according as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:" Ephesians 1:4
Jumping into the New Testament, we see that in following after God's pattern, we become a part of a love that started before the foundation of the world! Before there was evil, there was God...and there was always a light able to shine in the darkness! We were always meant to follow Jesus...He is our Father & Savior; this world is not our home, our father or our savior! We cannot choose this world over eternity with Jesus! We must go forward, not backward!
"far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: and hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all." Ephesians 1:21-23
Do we want greatness? Let's seek Jesus! Do we want hope? Let's seek Jesus! Do we want Heaven? Let's seek Jesus! Let's keep our eyes looking forward to Him, not allowing the wandering eye to be tempted by the unfulfillment & backward ways of the world!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
