The Pietrzak Pack

Forwards, or Backwards?

Based on Deuteronomy 28-29, Mark 14:54-72

Which way is up? Where are we going? What are we doing?! Some days might feel a little "dazed & confused"...like there's so much to do, and we are doing lots of things, but getting nowhere. That's the time to stop & seek God's. Direction! Well, it's best to seek Him BEFORE we start our crazy, complicated days, but especially IN those moments, we need to reach out instead of running around aimlessly. His Word has all the direction we need! In fact, in following His Word, we not only KNOW the way, but we are BLESSED in the way we go!

"And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God." Deuteronomy 28:1‭-‬2.

"And the Lord shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the Lord thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:" Deuteronomy 28:13.

In following Jesus closely through His Word, we will be the head, not the tail! We will take on the day head-first & head-on instead of falling behind & playing catch-up! But if we don't choose Jesus, and choose our own smarts & strength, we will never measure up to God's awesome plans for us!

"He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail." Deuteronomy 28:44.

Then, we WILL be the tail! We will be wagging around lost when we don't find time with Jesus! Life just won't make sense until we connect with Him first:

"And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life:"
Deuteronomy 28:66.

We will be blessed when we follow The Blessed One! JESUS CHRIST!!!

"But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed? And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven." Mark 14:61‭-‬62.

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
