From Pain to Pray
Based on Hosea 6-8
Anger, bitterness & complaining are the ABC's for disaster. As easy as it is to give into those strong, painful emotions by lashing out (even at God), we need to transform that negative energy into positive prayer!
It hurts to read about God's lamentations toward Israel in Hosea, longing for Israel to call upon Him instead of turning away...
"And they have not cried unto me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: they assemble themselves for corn and wine, and they rebel against me." Hosea 7:14.
A cry out to The Lord is much different than a yell, complain or a shout. A cry out to God is a desperate plea & prayer for God to intervene, while complaining about the pain doesn't ask for God's help, and we stay angry. God wants us to go to Him, because that's what a relationship is all about!
"Though I have bound and strengthened their arms, yet do they imagine mischief against me." Hosea 7:15.
God does so much, and even when our words don't complain, our thoughts do...sometimes we can't control it, but we imagine all the "what if's" and the situation just gets worse...pray the negativity away in Jesus' Name!!
"They return, but not to the most High: they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt."
Hosea 7:16.
The things we say certainly have a way of digging us into a hole...and we are left empty and not whole! God mends the wounds. God heals the broken heart. God is the solution we are frustratingly searching for! We need to return...not to our negativity, but to our good God!! Search the Scriptures & see for yourself! Every chapter is uplifting, encouraging, and teaches us a thing or two about our current struggles! Love Him & let Him put some peace where the pain is!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
