Fruitful Fulfillment

Based on Genesis 4-6, Matthew 2

"And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the Lord. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the Lord had respect unto Abel and to his offering:" Genesis 4:3‭-‬4.

Life demands so much from us...but how many times do we stop and ask, "God, what do YOU want from me?" Of course, God has allowed for many great opportunities in our lives, but many times, we don't stop and be sure that what we are doing is God's perfect Will. What is the true fruit of our labor which we should be bringing forth for The Lord?

Cain brought literal fruit to God as an offering. While he did bring something, it's not what God asked for. Abel, his brother, brought the true firstfruits of his labor for The Lord. It wasn't literally fruit, but it was the first fruits of his flock, of the fine sheep he worked so hard to maintain. Bloodshed was always the expected sacrificial offering, and Cain tried to take the easy way out. He did not bring the TRUE fruit like Abel, and so Cain's offering was not expected. In anger, Cain finally did shed blood, but not in a sacrificial offering...he ended up killing his brother Abel out of jealousy...

Remember, the TRUE fruit God wants is the very best & most we can give from our hearts! He wants us to seek Him in prayer to truly understand what we need to give and do for Him. As Mothers, we have children, the very fruit of the womb...growing with our children closer to God is the best we can give to Him! That's fruitful fulfillment!

"And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed." Genesis 5:28‭-‬29.

Lamech spoke prophetically of his son Noah before he died. He knew Noah would someday do something great for God, and we surely know he did! Noah & his family were the only ones ON EARTH who lived for God during his life, so God spared them on the ark from the flood.

"Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem, Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him."
Matthew 2:1‭-‬2.

Next time you think you don't have much to give, look in the eyes of your child, and know that God's plan extends WAY beyond us! Our children are the most important fruit we bear & are able to give to God! They are the next generation of fruit-bearers! All the prophecies from the Bible, from Old to New Testament, were fulfilled...with Jesus being born, the greatest Fruit of the womb of Mary, our God & Savior! And it reaches to us & our children too!

Give your best & most to God, and watch the fruit of your labors multiply & bring you great fulfillment!
