Gathered unto God
Bible Reading 4/14: 1 Samuel 21-24
1 Samuel 22:2 And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.
David was loved as a captain, and would soon be loved as a king-but why were people do quick to look to him for relief from all of their troubles? People flocked & gathered to David because David was quick to gather unto God! David knew where to find his help, peace, comfort, joy, wisdom, etc! It all comes from God! And when others see that great faith & life we live unto The Lord, they are drawn to that type of lifestyle! When we take that brave leap of faith like David, spending time in God's presence more & more, Jesus shines through us to our loved ones! Let's be that Spiritual signal people need in this world today, and gather together unto God at church as a family & Body of Christ!
