Get on the same level!

Based on Job 20-21, Acts 10:24-48

"His bones are full of the sin of his youth, Which shall lie down with him in the dust."

Job 20:11

This is just one statement of many which one of Job's friends spoke to him. Again, as we have seen, all 3 friends have been up in their place of self-righteousness and comfort, unwilling to come down to where Job was at, on his level, and truly minister to him. They are not really worried about helping Job, just making themselves look good. This is why empathy is so important. Jesus didn't let Himself stay at a high, Kingly place in a palace on earth, only using His words to reach into the lives of others...He came here on the level of the suffering, and in that way was able to minister the way He was meant to! We must do the same! We can't fear getting on that level, because that's the only way we can make a difference in this world for His Kingdom's Cause!

"How then comfort ye me in vain, Seeing in your answers there remaineth falsehood?" Job 21:34

Not only do we need to get on the level of our friends who are suffering, but we need to be sure we have Spiritual influences in our lives who are willing to do that same thing to help us! A Spirit-led church family is the best support system!

"But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man." Acts 10:26

Peter now understood in a vision from God that Gentiles and Jews are all people in God's eyes! They are all on the same level playing field! We all have hearts, and so it's where the heart is that matters! He told Cornelius to stand up instead of kneeling before him, because the only One worthy of that kind of honor is God! We are all people who are precious & loved by Him! Think on their level. Be around those who wouldn't mind getting on our level once in a while. We need the strength of God to do it, since He did it for us!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
