Getting in Shape

Bible Reading Today: Jeremiah 18-22

O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel. Jeremiah 18:6

Getting in shape can be a touchy subject-literally! It requires the delicate, yet firm touch of our God, doing a work in us! But if we are too hardened by the things of this life, too tense, too stiff, we cannot get in shape! That's one of the reasons why people stretch before working out, and for that same reason, it's ok to loosen up in God's presence! To experience this to a great degree, come visit us at church! We encourage all to open up & worship God, expressing love in praise! There is a Scripture which states that God inhabits the praise of His people (paraphrased) in Psalm 22:3. So worship is a great start to inviting God into our hearts, vulnerable & tender, ready for Him to get us in shape, shaping us into the people & saints He created us to be! And His Spirit, the Holy Ghost in us, is the best way to always have God's presence in a special way, to keep us in Spiritual shape all throughout the day!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
