Giving Up
Based on Psalms 137-139, 1 Corinthians 13
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, When we remembered Zion. We hanged our harps Upon the willows in the midst thereof."
Psalm 137:1-2
Sometimes, we feel so low we just want to give up & start over. We don't even want to look for a solution anymore; we just want to "hang up the harp" & be done with it! We don't want to surround ourselves with responsibilities, or even things which used to bring us joy...in times like these especially, we don't need to give up...we need to give in to the restoration of God!
"In the day when I cried thou answeredst me, And strengthenedst me with strength in my soul." Psalm 138:3
God's strength is stronger than our physical body! It reaches to the soul! It reaches to that place in our emotions where we feel most defeated! God hears our cry, and He WILL answer!
"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: Thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me." Psalm 138:7
We will be restored, and more than that, we will be REVIVED! Repenting & baptism of water & Spirit truly brings us to a better state than we ever thought possible! I encourage you to experience this for yourself-it's vital for salvation & crucial to survive the lows & ruts of the world!
"Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away." 1 Corinthians 13:8
The world may trick us into thinking it loves us, but the love of God is the only force capable of truly picking us up, brushing us off & keeping us going, especially when we want to give up & accept failure & defeat!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
