God's Timeless Existence
Based on Joshua 10-12, Luke 1:39-56
"Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Aijalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day." Joshua 10:12-13.
This is such an incredible thing to read about! As humans, we think time is elusive. It's going to keep going, whether we like it or not...but we can't forget our God, our Creator! He started the clock, and He can stop it! And it also says in this chapter that there was never before or after this a day where God stopped time in its tracks...but on an individual basis, time will be up for each one of us someday, as hard as that is to think about...are we connected with our Creator? The One in control of our time clocks? That's certainly a thought to give some time to!
"As the Lord commanded Moses his servant, so did Moses command Joshua, and so did Joshua; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses." Joshua 11:15.
Nothing is left undone with God! He brings it all together; He is in control of it all...even time itself!! He even entered into time and gave Himself a birth & death date...but His clock hasn't run out! He lives on & desires to live in each one of us today as the Holy Ghost!
"And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost: And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb. And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?"
Luke 1:41-43.
Elisabeth had the Holy Ghost move upon her as her baby (John the Baptist) leaped in her womb when Mary came to visit, being pregnant with Jesus at the time! The same Spirit which allowed Mary to conceive moved upon Elisabeth...and that's The Spirit which God desires to fill us with, with the evidence of speaking in new tongues!
"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4.
...But this outpouring of God's Spirit was much after this time of visitation between Mary & Elisabeth! However, Elisabeth was right when she said:
"For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy. And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord." Luke 1:44-45.
Just like the performance of the sun & moon standing still and the enemies defeated in Joshua, there would be a great performance of God with miracles & the miracle of the Resurrection...and the outpouring of the Holy Ghost! Mary was also on-point when she said:
"He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree." Luke 1:51-52.
God continues to do miraculous things every day! He may not stop the sun & moon, but I pray He stops us in our tracks, keeping us in wonder, awe & love with Him...before time's up...

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
