God, The Giver
Based on Psalms 68-69, Romans 8:1-21
"The Lord gave the word: Great was the company of those that published it." Psalm 68:11
God did not just speak His Word...He GAVE it to us! His Word has been the greatest gift to us...it started out as a book, then Jesus coming as The Word made flesh, then His Spirit quickening us in all wisdom of His Word when we receive Him with evidence of speaking in new tongues:
"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it , do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;" Colossians 1:9
God has most definitely always been a Giver! When He spoke The Word, from the very beginning of creation, He gave Himself to us! All His Words are attributes of Himself being expressed to us! When we receive His Spirit for our salvation, we grow to understand this more & more as we read His Word!
"Blessed be the Lord, Who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah." Psalm 68:19
Even beyond Himself, He provides for us in ways great & small! He has the ultimate benefit package! He is not just a Giver who specializes in one area...He ministers to ALL of our needs!
"O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: The God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God." Psalm 68:35
He also equips us with unseen gifts of strength & power, which become seen as we put them into practice working toward the Kingdom's Cause! He does all this so:
"that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Romans 8:4
Our God is the Giver of so much, especially our very lives...so we need to also ensure that He is the God of our eternal lives as well! The way to do this is to be sure we take His salvation plan seriously in Acts 2:38! The Holy Ghost, His Spirit, is the ultimate gift & ultimate revelation of Himself, even since the beginning of time! Let's not just be open to His earthly provision for us, but also His salvation & eternal provision!
"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 2:38

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
