Good God, Good Word, Good Life!

Based on Deuteronomy 4-6, Psalm 41

"But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. When thou art in tribulation, and all these things are come upon thee, even in the latter days, if thou turn to the Lord thy God, and shalt be obedient unto his voice; (For the Lord thy God is a merciful God;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them."
Deuteronomy 4:29‭-‬31.

God will not forget His covenant when we remember His Word! When we are experiencing tribulation & troubling times, we don't have many places to turn. As mentioned in the last post, we seem stuck (isolated, if you will). But as the above Scripture states, if we turn to The Lord our God, He will not forget us or forsake us! WE MUST REMEMBER OUR PROMISES TO GOD JUST AS HE DESIRES TO FULFILL HIS PROMISES TO US!

"But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day."
Deuteronomy 4:4.

As our Pastor has recently & so aptly stated, the 3 major topics on everyone's minds nowadays are: Reality, Mortality, & Eternity. So much strife and complication has risen up in this world due to very difficult circumstances-but God makes things clear & simple in His Word: cleave unto Him, and we will live! We will overcome even death, hell & the grave when we go all in for Jesus! This is way better than any offer I've seen from this world!

"Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people."
Deuteronomy 4:6.

The keeping of God's Word & commandments wasn't only for the Israelites, and it's not only for us! When we stand up for God, we stand out in the world. We are a testimony. God desires every nation, every person, from every background to be saved! He loves each & every one of us. We must commit to the full Truth & see the full goodness of God, especially at a time like this!

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:38.

Being buried in baptism through full immersion in water, in the Name of Jesus, along with receiving the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in new tongues, is the only way to experience salvation today. Why? Because it's the way the first church did it! The apostles got this news directly from Jesus (God Himself) and the rest is HIStory! And it can become OUR story! God's not done writing your story yet. He is a Good God with a Good Word to live a Good Life-even today!

"O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!"
Deuteronomy 5:29.

This cry out from God could not make it more obvious as to the urgency of having loving obedience toward Him. It passes down to & protects our children. It keeps us safe now & in eternity! We need continued, loving obedience to God!

"And the Lord commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the Lord our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day." Deuteronomy 6:24.

God's Word doesn't say "for His control always." It says "for our good always." Wow! When we DO willingly give God control, all that comes from it is GOOD! He will preserve us ALIVE! How much do we need to hear that today!?

"An evil disease, say they, cleaveth fast unto him: and now that he lieth he shall rise up no more. Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me. But thou, O Lord, be merciful unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them." Psalms 41:8‭-‬10.

We already read it-God is good! God is merciful! When we cry out to Him, He will raise us up! The world will betray us. Our own bodies may fail us. But GOD is an everlasting God! He heals, He saves, and HE IS GOOD!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
