Greater Things
Based on Ezekiel 8-10
It seems that every time you turn a corner, there are so many things going wrong. So many people divided over so many topics. Then, anger causes people to do things they may not normally do. When we choose to be on The Lord's side, we can accomplish greater things than these! When we are in unity with God and others and seek to have peace with those around us, we will have a much more fulfilling existence! God's Will is greater than our own!
"He said furthermore unto me, Son of man, seest thou what they do? even the great abominations that the house of Israel committeth here, that I should go far off from my sanctuary? but turn thee yet again, and thou shalt see greater abominations."
Ezekiel 8:6.
God showed Ezekiel His people as He saw them...just imagine...the eyes of The Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3)! He sees it all...and at this time in Ezekiel, most of it wasn't good. How about now? Of course there are always things to be thankful for, but how much better would things be if everyone would choose more of God and less of this world? What greater things would be taking place? Again, every time we turn a corner, we inherit another negative report from news media outlets. Every time Ezekiel turned around, God's people were committing more & more abominations. We have to seek for greater things in God!
"Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, portrayed upon the wall round about." Ezekiel 8:8-10.
We can't put faith in anyone or anything else but God. All else will fall short! Just like those images on the wall in the above Scripture, we see so many posts on social media which stir up anger in us...and how about God? Many people aren't afraid to offend on social media because they are not face to face with others...but what we must always remember is that we are always face to face with God! He is everywhere, and His eyes are always upon what we do. We need to rise above that and do greater things!
"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." John 14:12.
When we are in Christ by following the Acts 2:38 plan of salvation, His Spirit allows us to do greater works than have ever been done! That's what this world needs to see. Not another negative report or post...but the hope that is in Jesus!

Surviving the Peace Plummet

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
