Hark now hear the angels sing!
Based on Zephaniah 1-3, Revelation 16
"For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent." Zephaniah 3:9
What a beautiful sound it must be when angels sing, as the song suggests! When they rejoiced over Jesus being born, that must have been the most beautiful Christmas...Zephaniah prophesies a beautiful language too, but this is a Heavenly, pure language of His saints, which angels also rejoice over! This is the sound of The Holy Ghost, a divine language we receive when we diligently repent, pray & seek God with all our heart...something only GOD understands, because it's HIM in US! And it's not just a gift, it's ESSENTIAL for our salvation, for Christ to be born in us like He was born in the flesh that first Christmas night! Now that's something to sing about!
"Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more." Zephaniah 3:14-15
When The Lord is in the midst of us, in the core of our being, in our heart, we have nothing to fear! When our heart is repentant, we are forgiven, and gladness and rejoicing are restored! So, why not receive The Holy Ghost? We can't let our human spirit guide us through a world created by God...we need HIS SPIRIT! Then we can all rejoice as we speak in tongues...HARK NOW HEAR THE SAINTS SING!!!
