He Reins!
Bible Reading Today: Jeremiah 14-17
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings. Jeremiah 17:10
Because The Lord reigns, He reins! He is Lord overall, and He desires to pull back the reins & bring us back to Him. Many people, in sentimental heartfelt moments, say, "it was tugging on my heartstrings." Well, God literally does that each day when He tugs on the reins of our hearts! Unfortunately, those reins extend farther & farther the more we distance ourselves from a relationship with God...and He loves us enough to allow that. He lets us wander after our hearts, even if it's not in the direction of His reins. Each day we wander, the tug is felt less & less...but thankfully, God's still pulling! If we search His Word & let Him search our hearts in prayer, we will feel a strong tug on the reins again, and He will pull us close! This Scripture will come alive in our lives as we allow The Lord to rein us in, reign over us and rain His Spirit into us with a shower of blessings!
