Holy Chambers

Based on Ezekiel 40-42

"And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thine heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for to the intent that I might shew them unto thee art thou brought hither: declare all that thou seest to the house of Israel." Ezekiel 40:4.

How much room do we have for God? How much room are we willing to make for God? He has a place prepared for us, so we need to prepare a place for Him-in the chambers of our homes & the chambers of our hearts! God showed Ezekiel a vision of a man of brass with a measuring reed in his hand, measuring all the areas of Israel & the temple. While God should be welcomed wherever we are, it's good to have designated places to worship & focus on Him, pushing away any outer distractions.

"And without the inner gate were the chambers of the singers in the inner court, which was at the side of the north gate; and their prospect was toward the south: one at the side of the east gate having the prospect toward the north. And he said unto me, This chamber, whose prospect is toward the south, is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the house. And the chamber whose prospect is toward the north is for the priests, the keepers of the charge of the altar: these are the sons of Zadok among the sons of Levi, which come near to the Lord to minister unto him." Ezekiel 40:44‭-‬46.

There were chambers for worship & chambers for priests-all doing the service of The Lord! We can't neglect these areas & chambers! We need to be sure we have our personal time of adoration to God. Of course these places exist in our churches, and we experience wonderful moves of God's Spirit as church services go forth, but as mentioned-we need to personal & private chambers of our hearts & homes to be filled with the presence of God!

"Then said he unto me, The north chambers and the south chambers, which are before the separate place, they be holy chambers, where the priests that approach unto the Lord shall eat the most holy things: there shall they lay the most holy things, and the meat offering, and the sin offering, and the trespass offering; for the place is holy. When the priests enter therein, then shall they not go out of the holy place into the utter court, but there they shall lay their garments wherein they minister; for they are holy; and shall put on other garments, and shall approach to those things which are for the people." Ezekiel 42:13‭-‬14.

A holy place is a separate place! Again, God is everywhere, but the most close & intimate time with God stems from a place which is set apart...in a secret chamber! That's when we can really hear His voice speaking to us. That's when our connection to God truly turns from religion to relationship! In the holy place, you not only hear God's voice more clearly, but also God's heartbeat! We need to take the reed & measure just how many chambers or places we have which glorify The Lord, and how much space we dedicate to other things...do we have room at the inn??

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
