Hope in Christ
Based on Colossians 1-4
"For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;" Colossians 1:9.
When we are baptized & filled with the Spirit of God, Jesus Christ, we are filled knowledge, wisdom, understanding & hope! We can be hopeful because God's Spirit leads, guides & directs us where we need to be. It could be a physical place/location, or just a peaceful state of mind! Either way, we NEED His Spirit. We need a hope, especially in these times!
"If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;" Colossians 1:23.
Be not moved away from the hope of the gospel! Be grounded! Be settled! We've heard it through His Word...there is so much hope in the death, burial & Resurrection of Jesus because that's the same process we go through in salvation: dying to our sinful life, being buried in baptism, and rising in newness of life by the Holy Ghost! New birth brings new life brings new hope...all in Christ!
"When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."
Colossians 3:4.
He is our life. He is our hope. He is our only way to live a good life now & in eternity!
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord." Colossians 3:16.
What a beautiful passage, depicting a beautiful life with The Lord! We must admonish one another in psalms, hymns & spiritual songs, singing with grace in our hearts to The Lord! That's how we can encourage the Body of Christ and give each other some hope & peace in this whirlwind world we live in!
"Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:24.
There is hope of a pleasant earthly life & a reward in eternity, but we have to keep serving The Lord! We can't turn back. We have to get deeper in the things of God and farther from this world! Keep the faith, keep the hope, keep Christ close!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
