I will go also!

Reading of the Day: Zechariah 6-8

Zechariah 8:21: And the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, Let us go speedily to pray before the LORD, and to seek the LORD of hosts: I will go also.

Every day is a day of "going." One place to another. One room to another. One thought to another...all countless times in a row. So many things are happening simultaneously, and we have to navigate & meander through it all somehow. We are always making the conscious effort to "go." With all this going on, where do we go when the going gets tough? Most of the time, we want to shut down. We don't want to "go" anymore. We want it all to stop, for even just a second. But if we are able to muster up all we have to make the conscious effort to go & do all these things, then we must also go to God! Instead of shutting down when we've had enough & the going gets tough, we must run to Him with everything we have, or with just our emptiness & exhaustion from the day. He restores us & prepares us for that next thing we have to go & do. That's exactly what Zechariah was prophesying here in this chapter! Yes, God's people had strayed far away from Him...but there would be a day where people all over the world, Jews & Gentiles alike, would get the urge to go to God! According to this verse, they'd be praying. Seeking. Saying, "I will go also." There would be widespread believing, and that believing would cause going! People taking action according to their faith! Going out. Finding a church. Looking for more of God, not seeing how little they could be content with...this book was talking about far more than what was happening during Zechariah's time...it was prophesying about the days we are now living in! So many people around the world are going after God! Our church has had so many new faces recently! Let's always have this as a proclamation of our faith...not only "I will believe also" but "I will go also." Our belief should always cause us to chase after more of Him! And when we do, we realize the layers of His love are neverending...so I encourage all to go a little further! Be a new face at church (if you need one, let me know)! Let's pass on the "I will go also" mentality!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
