Bible Reading Today: 2 Kings 20-21

2 Kings 21:8 Neither will I make the feet of Israel move any more out of the land which I gave their fathers; only if they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them.

We all strive for security...a place where we can sink deep roots, be established, and not have the fear that our world will crumble beneath us. Sure, there are risk-takers out there, but even the most daring person wants a sure place to find safety & peace. No other book, document, deal or promise assures of that more than the Word of God! The Hands Who created us are the strongest Hands to hold us & keep us in place! God assures His people in the Scripture above that He would not make the feet of Israel to move any more out of the land He gave their fathers...but if they were to be immovable in their land, they needed to be immovable in The Word! Every commandment must be kept, just like a sturdy fence & security system keeps us safe in our homes! Let's strive to be strong, immovable saints, standing in our promised land by standing firm in The Word of God!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
