In Due Time
Based on Genesis 16-17, Matthew 5:27-48
"And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram's wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife." Genesis 16:2-3.
It is a normal, familiar feeling to be unable to wait for something that's coming, especially something you know will change your life & your future...one of the greatest things being a child! Sarai overstepped her boundaries in telling Abram (soon to be Abraham) to go in unto her maid Hagar. A child was born, but it was a deviation from God's ultimate plan & Perfect Will. Hagar gave birth to Ishmael, who became the father of the future Islamic/Arab people. Sarai tried to take her future into her own hands, instead of being patient & waiting upon God to do the work in due time...in HIS perfect timing!
Sarai's (soon to be Sarah) promise of a child would one day come to pass, and at many points along the way, God re-assured & re-affirmed this to Abraham. While we are waiting, we must seek out encouragement through eyes of faith, knowing that in obedience & patience, a miracle IS on the way!
"But my covenant will I establish with Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year." Genesis 17:21.
Wow! An even more specific confirmation came through! A time! A name! A new life was about to be formed & change not only this little growing family...but our entire history!
Don't let go of God because you think a promise fell through. Stay connected, and He will re-assure you all throughout your life!
"Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." Matthew 5:48.
It may be hard to be perfect, but when we let Christ work through us, we let perfection work through us. We follow after God's perfect Will & His perfect timing. Keep on going, and remember, things WILL get better in due time!

Surviving the Peace Plummet
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
