In our own eyes...
Bible Reading Today: Judges 19-21
Judges 21:25 In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
In these last chapters of Judges, we see that people are making their hearts merry with everything besides The Lord. It is very unfortunate that they find no enjoyment in the things of God, and are only drawn to God in times of tragedy-basically, as this Scripture states, they were all doing what was right in their own eyes, and God was not King on the throne of their hearts. "There was no king in Israel" physically, or Spiritually! Aren't we like that sometimes? We sometimes slack in our daily consistency calling upon The Name of Jesus. We find enjoyment and try to find fulfillment in everything besides God. We sometimes even refuse to look to Him in tragedy too! When there's no King on the throne of our hearts & we do what's right in our own eyes, we miss our true purpose & amazing plans God has for us! Let's keep Jesus at the center of our lives daily, no matter what the circumstance, and see a life truly fulfilled, right before our eyes!
