In That Day 

Based on Zephaniah 3, Philippians 1-2

"The just Lord is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame." Zephaniah 3:5.

In that day & time of Zephaniah, every morning of every day it was obvious that God was sending wake-up calls to Judah...but the unjust knew no shame, even though all was brought to light. How sad! But could this also be comparable to this day? Everything going on could be a wake-up call to us. Are we answering?

"I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings." Zephaniah 3:7.

"They rose early & corrupted all their doings..." again, another chance, another day for a fresh start...but instead, it was another day to be corrupt instead of corrected! God is real. God's love is real. God's judgment is real...but thankfully, God has mercy & rejoices over even the smallest remnant that will turn back to Him!

"In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack. The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden." Zephaniah 3:16‭-‬18.

"In that day..." and what a wonderful day it will be! Not just back in that day, but each day as we renew our vows to God and our commitment to Him! Again, these books are as much to us as the Jews! God has so much goodness prepared for us-we just need to take our eyes off this world!

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;"
Philippians 2:9-10.

Every knee will bow & tongue will confess-and each day's events make it that much clearer that God is calling us all to something greater than this world!

"Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain."
Philippians 2:16

"Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me." Philippians 2:17‭-‬18.

As we look from Old Testament to New & follow God's plan throughout, we can see that our obedience causes God to rejoice, and therefore WE can rejoice too! Every day has its challenges, but every day has its joys when we stick with The Lord!
