In the thick of it

Bible Reading 6/13: 1 Kings 8, 2 Chronicles 5

1 Kings 8:12 Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

Did you ever feel like you're the only one who cares or understands what you're going through? When we're "in the thick of it," in tough situations, in that "no turning back" zone where we are in too deep, in a dark place & don't know how to escape...then what? Well, as this Scripture states, we have a God Who dwells in the thick darkness! He is with us when we feel unheard & situations seem uncalled for. In those times where we silently scream "Does anybody even see me!?" God does. And He sees BEYOND the thick darkness! He DOES have a way of escape into the Light! But He calls us to trust Him in the thick of it. In the midst of it. While we are going through it! Jesus didn't calm the seas before the disciples had a chance to fear...he allowed them to go through fear to come to a point of surrender & trust in Him! We need to surrender our fear in the thick of it & let Jesus bring us the peace we seek!

Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
