In Too Deep
Bible Reading Today: Jonah
I went down to the bottoms of the mountains; The earth with her bars was about me for ever: Yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God. Jonah 2:6
We've all experienced some pits, prisons & places we would have rather not been. We've gotten ourselves into situations we're not proud of...but thankfully, when we're "in too deep," God wants to be in the depths of our hearts! He already knows our hearts, but He even longs to be welcomed into the lowest places. When we are at our lowest, most depressed, most regretful stages of life, that's when God desires to do a great miracle. Of course, we feel undeserving, unworthy & unsure if God even loves us anymore...but that's when all that God alone can give is needest most! Jonah prayed this above Scripture down in the depths of that big fish...he said, "...The earth with her bars was about me for ever: Yet hast thou brought up my life from corruption, O LORD my God." The earth can sometimes just look like the bars of one big prison...one let-down after another! So, let God intervene on the scene! When you're in too deep, let God in to the depths of your heart! Healing, forgiveness & freedom are in His Hands!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...
A Moment of Silence.
As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
The Heart of the Struggle
Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
