The Pietrzak Pack

Is it "good," or God?

Gina Pietrzak

Based on Daniel 11-12, Jude

"And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits." Daniel 11:32

We know according to Scripture that God is the only good, true & pure One...yet there are many seemingly "good" words out there...many people who try to encourage us, but are really trying to get into our heads & change the way we think about God. That's not to say that many people don't have good intentions, but we have to be careful about the "flatteries" which flutter our way, making us stray away from God's path toward something that is too good to be true-which means it's a lie! With God, we will be strong & do exploits!

"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."

Daniel 12:3‭-‬4

Many people think they have The Truth, but it is just "good" inspiration. Many people are running frantically in this ever-changing world, looking for something stable...we need more than "good," we need GOD! Because ultimately, He is ONLY good! If what is being spoken to us by someone disagrees with God's Word & His ways, then it is not the good word we are looking for!

"Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand." Daniel 12:10

Do we want to be wise, or wicked? Good in The Truth, or stuck in the error of our evil ways, believing a lie? Always have a prayerful conversation with God, search the Scriptures & seek godly counsel from a pastor in order to truly confirm how "good" something really is! So thankful God gives us many ways to get direction!

"These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage." Jude 1:16

We never know what people are trying to gain by speaking "good" of us & flattering us. I'm not saying people should be putting us down, but we should think about what we would have to compromise to listen to those people!

"But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life." Jude 1:20‭-‬21

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...
