Is there not a Cause?

Gina Pietrzak

Based on 1 Samuel 17-18, Luke 11:1-28

God is aware of the giants in our lives...in fact, sometimes He allows them to be there for certain reasons. Many people ask, "If God knows about this issue, why doesn't He just make it disappear?" I think the answer is simple...God already finds the cause important, but do we? And, are we willing to do anything about it, as God is always willing to help us?

"And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened."
Luke 11:9‭-‬10.

God wants us to connect with Him about these "giant-sized issues." When we come to Him in prayer & ask for help, He is always willing to come into the situation! As anything is in life, we must take the initiative. Without this cause, this relationship with God, there would be no reason for our existence! If God just "poofed" everything away, we would never overcome another challenge, learn another lesson, or gain another victory by depending on The Lord!

"And David spake to the men that stood by him, saying, What shall be done to the man that killeth this Philistine, and taketh away the reproach from Israel? for who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" 1 Samuel 17:26.

God never hesitates to come to our defense, especially when we come to Him in prayer...but how often do we stand & defend God, especially when it's dangerous? David wasn't afraid to stand up and defend the Cause of God, which was so much greater than simply a battle....this was so much more! It was to show the power of God to all those there, even to remind God's people of His willingness to fight for His people!

"And David said, What have I now done? Is there not a cause?" 1 Samuel 17:29.

Is there not a Cause?? Is there not a God?? WE CAN SO THIS!! Those giants don't stand a chance when we toss them into the Hands of God! God is so much bigger than every issue we face. We can't let intimidation allow us to forget to fight the battle, or forget about God!

THERE IS A CAUSE! THERE IS A GOD! THERE IS A GIANT THAT WILL FALL TODAY IN JESUS' NAME!

Peacefulness is the toughest muscle there is, and exercising it only makes it stronger. However, it proves to be the most difficult to keep toned & honed consistently in our lives. Peacefulness is like that one workout that you know is going to take the most time...

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
