It couldn't be me...

Based on John 4-6

Each of the Gospels depicts many significant miracles & deliverances of Jesus, which show the incredible saving power of God! With such an awesome God, sometimes it's easy to wander through life thinking, "What would God want with me? It couldn't be me...Does Jesus really care to know me and help me??"

...And the answer is YES! He cares. He has a purpose for you. IT IS YOU! Many miraculous examples were shared throughout these 3 chapters, but 2 in particular stood out on this topic of Jesus intervening in the lives of 2 people who might have thought of themselves as insignificant...

"There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans." John 4:7-9.

Compared to other people, this woman knew she was an outcast...not only from the Jews, but her own people...she didn't exactly live the life of a "model citizen." "What could this man want with me?" She probably thought. She was probably used to getting taken advantage of. But then, she realized Who Jesus REALLY was...and that HE CARED ABOUT HER! Jesus told her personal things about her that He couldn't have known unless He was GOD! She not only converted, but quickly began to bring more hungry & thirsty souls to Jesus:

"The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? Then they went out of the city, and came unto him."

John 4:28-30.

Another miracle mentioned was the loaves & fishes. Certain grown men, namely the disciples, were trying to figure out a seemingly complex problem: feed five THOUSAND people! "How in the world is Jesus going to pull this one off?" They probably thought. They didn't think it could be as simple as a little boy's lunch! But in fact, it was! Simple, yet oh so significant:

"There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?" John 6:9.

What are they? What AM I? We sometimes think to ourselves these very same things...can God do a lot with me? Can He multiply the little that I CAN do? Jesus sure can! Ask that little boy! His lunch fed THOUSANDS! God used him for a miracle...so next time you think, "Who AM I to Jesus?" Remember that "Jesus is I AM!" He is God, and He cares deeply for you! Yes, YOU!

"And Jesus took the loaves; and when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down; and likewise of the fishes as much as they would. When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost." John 6:11‭-‬12.

LET NOTHING BE LOST. Every last fragment. Every last detail. Every last one of us!!! He left the 99 for me, and He is doing that for you too! Don't stop loving God. Get to know Him more-He already knows & loves you SO MUCH!
