Bible Reading Today: Ezra 4-6, Psalm 137

Ezra 6:16 And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy,

We treat joy as an unexpected gift, something out of our control that just surprisingly drops into our lap randomly, but we don't realize it's something we have already that just needs to be kept & maintained. When we have Jesus, we have joy! When we give Jesus our time and attention, we are filling up our cup of joy before the world can steal it away. We have the ability to do this! When we keep a dedication to The Lord, we keep joy in the process...so joy is actually intentional! We don't have to be at the liberty of our feelings to determine what the rest of our day will be like. We can choose joy by choosing Jesus! In dedication and devotion to Him through a calm time of prayer & The Word, we are temporarily taken out of the stress & mess, translated to a transformation point with Jesus, and able to face the day with a joy and a love unmatched by any other means. Keep Jesus. Keep joy!

A Moment of Silence.

As was powerfully preached this past Wednesday, "Let there be light" were the first words spoken by God in Genesis 1:3... And He wasn't necessarily speaking about a physical manifestation... But a Spiritual one. Knowing that creation Would mean redemption. It would mean... Heaven needs to touch earth... Light would need to pierce the veil of darkness... The process of creating was ongoing... All the way to the point of creating in us clean hearts (Psalm 51:10) by being born again of water &...

The Heart of the Struggle

Focus Scripture: But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart. Luke 2:19 Hello again! It's been about 4 months since I've stepped back into this space, and I have to say, I am taking very gentle steps. It's been on my heart so much to write again, but I am treading lightly. I may not post every day, unless God leads me there again...but for now, I am just moving forward in God's grace. I have some blog ideas stored up that I've been saving over time as I reflect upon His...
